miss spiders tea party

have you ever read the book Miss Spider's Tea Party? well it is by David Kirk and it is basically about a spider who works hard making a tea party but no insects would come because they were too scared of her until the end when a bug ran into the nest and miss spider didn't eat it. its a great book i totally recommend it. 

                         Any way, i made a tea party this morning and got it all ready and then i had to enjoy it all alone. I just ran out of my peppermint tea and we didn't have any non caffeinated good earth tea (that is one of my favorite teas) so i brewed some earl grey instead. i put plenty of honey and milk on the table along with toast triangles and with butter and jam to spread on it. some Cutie Clementines for color and i put a suger cup on there but only for show, i don't put sugar in my tea, just honey. it looks a little miss-matched but that is because we only have fancy china tea accessories and i was a little hesitant to use them. my mom explained to be that we hardly ever use them and we didn't have any other real tea cups so i used the teacups. i think it bugged my mama, me having my milk cup not match the tea cups, so she took my original brown milk cup off of the display and put instead an empty china milk cup on the tray.

oh yeah.. i thought i would share with you, i tried to toast a rice cake this morning
i dont recommend it, stinks up the kitchen.
